Heated Towel Rack Voltage and Special-Order Planning Guide
Voltage and special-order conditions should be identified early. They are not the kind of details that benefit from being left vague until the order is almost final.
This is especially true when the project may involve 220V, hydronic planning, left-side electrical requirements, or a special-order finish availability. Most projects begin with the standard configuration unless there is a clear reason to specify otherwise, but the moment the order moves beyond that standard configuration, the selection and documentation need to become more explicit.
Voltage Planning Is A Pre-Order Question
Voltage should be confirmed before the product is ordered, not during installation. Some Amba 220 volt options are special order and are collection-specific, so the electrical plan, model selection, and lead-time expectations need to line up early.
Confirm whether the site requires 120 volt, 220 volt, or another project-specific electrical condition before approving the model. This is especially important for hospitality, multi-unit, international, or specification-driven projects.
Special-Order Details To Lock Down
- Collection and exact model number.
- Voltage requirement and local electrical constraints.
- Finish availability, including standard finish, PVD finish, RAL color, or other special-order finish where available.
- Lead time, approval process, and whether the item is returnable or cancellable.
Do Not Mix Voltage Assumptions Across Projects
A model or voltage decision from one project should not be copied into another project without review. Commercial, multi-unit, hospitality, and international projects can have different electrical standards, purchasing processes, and approval requirements.
The product schedule should clearly state the voltage, collection, finish, control plan, and any special-order notes so the installer and purchasing team are working from the same information.
