Installation & Safety

Heat-Up Time Depends On The Collection And The Size Of The Rack

A heated towel rack does not heat the same way across every collection. Some racks warm up more quickly. Others take longer to build heat more gradually. The right expectation depends on the collection, the size of the rack, and the control method being used.

Warm-up time is most useful when it is considered alongside the room routine, towel load, rack size, and control method.

Radiant / Cape

Often around 10 to 15 minutes.

Quadro / Sirio

Also generally in the 10 to 15 minute range.

Jeeves

Often around 15 to 45 minutes depending on the model and size.

Faster heat-up is not automatically better. A rack that warms more gradually can still fit the room perfectly when the schedule matches the routine.

Why It Matters

Warm-Up Time And Daily Use Go Together

Morning Showers

If the rack is part of a daily morning routine, the warm-up window affects when it should turn on.

Evening Baths

A bath routine often benefits from a timer or scheduled start so the rack is already warm when needed.

Drying Between Uses

Warm-up time matters here too, especially in busy bathrooms where towels may be reused later in the day.

What Changes The Timing

Why One Rack May Feel Faster Than Another

Collection Design

The construction style and heating construction influence how quickly the rack reaches operating temperature.

Rack Size

A larger rack with more heated area can take longer than a smaller one.

Towel Load

A heavy towel changes the feel of warm-up compared with an empty rack.
